What I do.
How I deliver.
Why that should matter to you.
Challenging organisations to be their best
I’m not employed by my clients to be a yes-woman. Sometimes the boat needs to be rocked. And I’m also not an ‘Employee of the Yeah’. I won’t get things done at all costs. Passion is important. But so too is pragmatism.
Every organisation is different, every project unique. Delivering the right result means I must tailor my overall approach and specific methodologies to what’s in front of me. In saying that, there are a few key focuses that I always keep front of mind…
Incre without the mental: Deliver momentum while avoiding tension.
Managing diverse teams, complicated processes or wide-ranging projects requires an approach that is often equal amounts technical expertise, positive energy and healthy challenge. Providing a safe and constructive environment for individuals and teams to learn from their mistakes is crucial.
Get on with getting on: Talk fast. Think far. Act now.
Change comes fast and regrets live long. So I can’t afford to dither. From the get-go I take a deep dive into the culture and goals of my client and ensure this culture is the right fit. My most successful contracts are when I work with a management team that speaks honestly and respectfully – one that’s ready and willing to stay the course when change gets tough.
Easy does it: Create simplicity within complexity.
With years spent delivering results in cumbersome bureaucracies, ‘right-sizing’ is a particular passion. It’s not a matter here of reinventing the wheel, or even ‘bespoking’ it. Instead, having left our egos at the door, a well-aligned organisation will move forward without unnecessary complexity, fragmentation and duplication.
